Rate card

Each item has a rate per piece. A new rate starts from a date you choose, and the old rates stay in the history. Only the owner changes rates.

For each worker you choose the item and type the pieces, then save the day. A worker who made two items gets a second line. Rows can also be pasted from Excel.

If you type a minimum per day, a day that earns less is topped up to it, and the top-up is shown separately. It is off unless you type a figure.

The count

The worker sees the same count you typed.

Piece rate disputes are about the count, not the rate. So the count is typed every day, and each worker can see their own on their phone page.

The day screen shows pieces and earnings for the day and for the month so far.

A worker who is absent or on leave that day is marked on the row.

When the month is locked, its counts cannot change.

A straight answer

What it does, and what it does not.

What it does

Pays by pieces times the rate that applied on that day.

Keeps a history of every rate, so an old month is never recalculated.

Tops a low day up to a minimum, if you set one.

Puts per-piece workers in the same salary run and payslips as everyone else.

What it does not do

It does not read counts from a machine or from other software. Someone types or pastes them.

It does not set a different rate for each worker. The rate belongs to the item.

It does not fill in the minimum for you. The legal minimum wage depends on your state and the kind of work; confirm it with your CA.

It does not work out overtime for per-piece workers.
