Schools and coaching classes

Payroll software for schools and coaching, with pay per lecture built in.

A coaching class pays visiting faculty for the lectures they take and everyone else by the month. Payroll Bundals keeps the lecture count for each teacher, works out the month, and gives every teacher a payslip they can read.

Who is paid how

Faculty by the lecture, staff by the month.

In People you choose how each person is paid. "Per lecture" is one of the choices.

The lecture count

The timetable says who should teach. The count says who did.

Faculty pay is simple arithmetic that becomes an argument when the count is kept in three places. Here it is kept in one, and the teacher's payslip shows the same number.

Type the lectures for each teacher for a day, or one total for the month.
Each teacher has their own rate per lecture.
A locked month cannot be changed, so last term's count stays as it was paid.
Full-time staff are not counted by lecture. Their month comes from attendance and leave.
Salary day

The month end in the staff room.

The principal, the owner or the accounts person runs the Pay app. It is the same four steps for a school of 12 or a class with 60 people.

Step 1Check daysAttendance and approved leave for the full-time staff are checked. Any missing out time is settled first.
Step 2Extras and cutsExtra lectures and any bonus are added. Advances are cut by themselves. PF, ESI, Professional Tax and tax on salary follow fixed rules.
Step 3ReviewEach visiting teacher's line shows lectures × rate. Each full-timer's line shows the days paid.
Step 4PayLock the month. You get a sheet for net banking, a UPI list and a cash sheet, and the payslips are made.

A straight answer

What it does, and what it does not.

What it does
Per-lecture pay from a count you keep by day or by month.
Monthly salary for full-time staff, with paid leave counted.
Leave types, balances and requests, and the holiday list you confirm.
Tax on salary cut each month for people who are liable, with the working shown.
A joining record and letters for each new person.
Payslips, sent as a link from your own WhatsApp or printed.
What it does not do
It has one rate per lecture for each teacher. Different rates for different batches or subjects are not built.
It does not read your timetable or mark lectures by itself. Someone types the count.
It is not a school system. There are no students, fees, marks or parents in it.
It does not produce Form 130 or Form 138. It gives data sheets your CA uses to prepare them.
It does not upload anything to a government site or pay any dues.

Whether a visiting teacher is an employee or a consultant changes how tax applies. That is a question for your CA, not for software.

Questions schools and classes ask

A person has one way of being paid. For a salaried teacher who takes extra lectures, add the amount as an extra in step 2 of the salary run. It then shows as its own line.
No. Each teacher has one rate per lecture. For mixed rates you would work out the month's amount yourself.
Days in the holiday list and approved paid leave are paid. You confirm each holiday in the list yourself, because dates differ by state and by school.
No. Each person opens their own link in the phone's browser.
The Tax app works out tax on salary for the people you set it up for and cuts it in the salary run. Whether it applies to a visiting teacher is for your CA to decide.
Prices are coming soon. Unlimited usage, no per user charge, no per client charge, no setup fee. See the pricing page.
