On the same day, open Today and press Out now for that person. For an earlier day, open Pay, step 1: the day is there as a missing punch. Type the out time, or count the day as absent. The month cannot be locked until every missing punch is settled.

When you give an advance you choose how much to cut each month. Pay cuts it by itself. All cuts together are held within half of the month's wages; check that limit with your CA. The worker sees the same balance on their own link.

Open Compliance Calendar and download the PF file. Log in to the EPFO site with your own login and upload it there. Then come back and tick it as filed. Your CA can see the figures and download the file from their own login; the tick is made from your side.
